The river Rhine is one of the longest rivers in Europe. Beginning in the southeastern Swiss Alps, it flows through and along the borders of various countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and France. For the eagle eyed, during the first few seconds of the video, keep an eye out for people floating down the river (bottom right hand corner)! A pastime during the Summer in Basel is to swim / float down the river while holding on to a “Wickelfisch“. A Wickelfisch is a like a dry bag. It’s used to keep clothes, towels etc. dry, and also helps with floating!
