Based in Dublin, Ireland, Dan Galavan is a leading Independent Data Management & Governance Consultant who has spent 27 years advising clients and leading the delivery of data solutions in both the public and private sector.

He provides holistic Data Management consultancy services to clients in Europe, North America, and the Middle East to enable business success across the Full Data Life Cycle.

“Independent” means just that – Dan does not have partnerships with third parties.

Dan offers a range of data industry expertise to enable organizational improvements and Data Driven success. His advisory and consultancy services span all aspects of Data Governance, such as Database Design & Development, Master Data Management, Data Migration, Cloud Data Analytics, Data Orchestration, and Data Integration and Interoperability. This is the cornerstone for Dan’s Data Strategy, Data Management Maturity Assessment (Lite), and Cloud Service Assessment services.

His client base includes sectors such as Financial Services (Retail, Corporate, Investment, and Regulatory), Healthcare (Primary & Secondary Care, and Health Product Regulation, and is FHIR certified), Telecoms, Aerospace, and Customer Relationship Management.

In addition to consulting, Dan has been an Associate Faculty lecturer in Data Management at the National College of Ireland. He has also been a guest lecturer at Technical University Dublin, Ireland, and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands. Dan specializes in communicating complex technological concepts in written and presentation form, and is a regular contributor to the data community.

He has worked with the Snowflake Platform since 2019, is a Platform DSH (1 of 126 worldwide, 7th Year), and is Snowpro Advanced Architect certified.

Dan recently completed a diploma in Advanced AI for Business (Safe AI Adoption & Governance) with distinction from University College Dublin, Ireland.
